Quran memorisation (Hifz)
Memorise the Quran with a personal plan, daily listening and regular revision.
It will be said to the companion of the Quran: Recite and rise, and recite slowly as you used to recite in the world, for your place will be at the last verse you recite.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1464, Jami at-Tirmidhi 2914How our hifz lessons work
Each lesson has three parts. The student recites the new portion (sabaq) to the teacher, then the portion learned in recent days (sabqi), then a larger part from earlier (manzil). Revision is built into every lesson, because memorisation that is not revised is soon lost.
Students read with tajweed from the start. A student who cannot yet read fluently first completes Quran reading, so that nothing is memorised with mistakes.
